About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build awareness of the value of data within the organisation.
  • Demonstrate how consistency and quality of data can have a positive impact on the effectiveness of the organisation.
  • Promote the benefits of adopting a structured approach to the creation, maintenance and management of data assets.
  • Create and maintain the conceptual and logical enterprise data models that reflect the holistic needs of the organisation.
  • Support the creation and realisation of a Data Strategy for Alliance Healthcare, in conjunction with AmerisourceBergen.
  • Support the alignment of project activity to the enterprise data model.
  • Advice Solution Architects and Delivery teams to ensure the implications of decisions relating to data are understood and appropriately considered as part of design activity (eg. Data migration).
  • Influence data related design decisions to ensure that the wider needs of the organisation are considered above the individual needs of a specific project or programme.
  • Provide architecture governance for logical & conceptual data models as the organisation evolves and new data requirements emerge.
  • Maintain a holistic view of all the data management tools used within the organisation including master data management, data integration and transformation, data migration, data quality and business intelligence.
  • Keep abreast of emerging data-related technologies, and their potential value to Alliance Healthcare.
  • Drive the creation and maintenance of an enterprise Data Catalog, providing clarity on data meaning and its context in the organisation.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to develop the Enterprise Information Architecture principles and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Experience in dealing with a wider range of stakeholders, including at least 2 years experience working with senior-level stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience on several data-related projects, including one or more of the following activities: data architecture design, development of data model large data migration programme or data quality
  • Experience in working with IT Solution providers, Systems Integrators and large Consultancy organisations
  • Working for a multinational, multilingual organisation where data is captured in local language

 

 

Desirable

 

  • Large ERP (ideally SAP) programme exposure
  • Experience working within the SAP environment

 

 

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, including occasional international
