About The Role

You will be joining Alliance Healthcare at a truly exciting time as we are currently going through a period of change and transformation. The business is investing in new facilities, systems, processes and people to drive continuous improvement and deliver excellent customer service.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to provide leadership for the end to end operation at our Swansea Service Centre.

You will be responsible for ensuring efficient operational and financial running of Inbound and Outbound functions of the Service Centre through effective leadership and management, within corporate guidelines and agreed budget whilst ensuring excellent customer care. The Warehouse Operations Manager will act as a Leader within the site, driving the correct behaviours and as a result delivering continuous improvement. This is an essential role in developing future Service Centre Managers.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships in order to drive individual performance. You must have proven demonstrable experience within a similar role with a successful track record in leading through change and transformation.

You will come with a demonstrable experience of leading a large team including a warehouse management team and be comfortable in managing managers. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also key as is experience in managing a busy and challenging warehouse, ensuring safety and compliance.

This role requires someone with previous experience in understanding inventory procedures as well as being organised, highly analytical and resilient. You will be driven and tenacious with knowledge of continuous improvement and must have a demonstrable track record of developing your team with a focus on succession planning. You will have a full working knowledge of warehouse and security procedures and audit trails. Experience of working in a unionised environment is also desirable.
